busting the myth: loose vagina after childbirth

BadGirls Avatar

A lot of people worry that after having a baby, their vagina will be permanently loose. FML, I used to think that too. But guess what? The vagina is incredibly elastic and can bounce back to its original state. Childbirth might temporarily weaken pelvic floor muscles, but it doesn’t mean you’re doomed to be loose forever.

Kegel exercises are a lifesaver! I spend a few minutes each day doing these simple exercises, and OMG, the results are amazing! You can do them anytime, like while waiting at a red light or sitting at your desk.

So, what are Kegel exercises exactly? They’re super simple but incredibly effective. First, you need to locate your pelvic floor muscles. An easy way to do this is by trying to stop your pee mid-stream. The muscles you use to do that are your pelvic floor muscles.

Once you’ve found them, you can start doing Kegels:

  1. Contract: Slowly tighten your pelvic floor muscles as much as you can, but don’t tighten your abs, legs, or butt.
  2. Hold: Keep them tightened for about 5 seconds.
  3. Relax: Release the muscles and rest for 5 seconds.
  4. Repeat: Do this 10 times in a row.

As your muscles get stronger, you can gradually increase the hold time to 10 seconds. Doing three sets of these exercises every day will show you some serious results.

Now, let’s talk about Pilates. After giving birth, I felt my body wasn’t the same, especially my pelvic floor muscles. My friend suggested Pilates, so I joined a class.

At first, I was struggling. Those moves look easy but require serious control and patience. Every session, I could feel my pelvic floor muscles tightening and relaxing. Holy cow, it was both painful and delightful! 😂

Over time, I noticed my body getting stronger, and my pelvic floor muscles were tightening up. My instructor explained that Pilates not only strengthens your core but also improves overall body coordination and flexibility. After each class, I felt reborn, filled with strength and energy.

Now, I go to Pilates classes two to three times a week, and it’s a crucial part of my routine. It’s helped me regain my pre-baby body and boosted my confidence and control over my body.

Forget those BS products claiming to tighten your vagina, like creams and pills. They’re not only useless but can also be harmful. So, ladies, don’t fall for those fake ads.

If you’re dealing with similar concerns, give these scientific methods a try—they really work! Got any fun experiences or questions?
